Dear Sushant,
They always say that thereβs a person who walks into your life and changes it forever – unfortunately Sushant, you never literally walked into my life but I along with millions across the world can say that youβve definitely left a lasting impression. Youβve just had such an immense impact on me, I donβt know where to start and where to end. I guess it would be best to start with a confession.
I loved each and everyone one of your movies. I loved your acting. I loved your charisma. I guess you could say I loved the characters you played. However, those times, I never made an attempt to try getting to know more about you. I wish I had read about your dreams earlier. I wish I had tried to discover things about the inner enigma of your brilliant mind before. I wish I had watched more interviews, scanned through more Instagram posts of yours, and read the books you suggested. Each and every one of the characters you played reciprocated a bit of you. You were a fighter like Manny. You were a man of composure, talent, and stellar attitude like Mahi. You had big dreams like Ishaan and a golden heart like Mansoor. You were a truth-seeker like Byomkesh and had Shivβs jovial nature. Despite all of this, there was always a piece of you I missed out on. Now, as I unearth so much more about you, my respect for you and my admiration for your work soar higher and higher but a part of me continues to wish I had done this before.
One of the things I love so much about you is that you were always open to learning new things – you were always absorbed in books trying to understand the world. And the best part, you didnβt stop at just that. You tried understanding as many people as possible and helping them. From working on technology to improving COVID testing to the knowledge you shared through your work to the opportunities you provided to underprivileged children, everything you did had so much passion and care attached to it. There was just so much enthusiasm attached to all your goals, ambitions, and deeds. Everyone makes a note in the back of their mind telling themselves to dream big but youβre the one that’s shown us how it’s done – the sweat put towards a dream as well as the feeling of euphoria that comes along with accomplishing a dream. Aside from being inspiring, your dreams are just so fascinating – seeing them makes me want to do as many as possible! Iβve been trying to accomplish some of the goals- I painted an aurora, taught kids in my community, etc. but many unfortunately have been put on hiatus due to the pandemic.
Sushant, I could keep going on and on – youβve touched so many hearts and youβve had a certain raabta with each and every one of your fans. Never have I had the pleasure of meeting you but a part of me resonates with you – and that will continue resonating with me forever. Seri?
A ton of love and gratitude from a high schooler in New Jersey, USA β€οΈπ±π«π¦
