Just a fan

Dear Sushant

I wish you read this and many other letters to you which shows how much people loved you. I don’t know if you knew this or not but your life, your deeds inspired a lot of youth including me. I was 18 when I first saw you in Kai Po Che. It was like this beautiful feeling seeing the trio in the movie. I knew you from pavitra rishta (my mum used to watch) and I was awestruck to see how talented you are. Not to lie, but I think I had a crush on you instantly.

Then I saw many other movies of yours, MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, Byomkesh Bakshi, Sonchiriya, Chichhore.

I saw Byomkesh Bakshi for the character and after watching it, I became your fan completely. I thought of texting you on your public profile and tell you how awesome you were in that movie but then I thought will you even read it, if you do read it, will you reply. I didn’t want my heart to shatter in pieces, so I never texted you. I wish I did… what if you did reply to it. Maybe I had this memory with me forever that you saw my message or even replied.

I don’t know if anyone else is feeling the same or not but I feel this void inside me as if someone very close to me left me. Someone whom I loved from the bottom of my heart left me alone in this world. I still can’t believe I will not see you again in any more movies or I won’t see your tweets and posts. I used to visit your profile every now and then. I used to see how much you were into Science and space and art. My respect for you increased day by day. When I got my first phone few years back, I did nothing but created accounts on twitter and Instagram so that I can follow you.

I feel like this whole year is a movie and at the end, every one will come out of it – safe and healthy. No harm done. Like after every movie you used to come out alive and smiling.

Oh that smile, how could I forget your smile. That damn smile, I think that’s where it started.

I will always remember you as a happy person and full of life, no matter what people say. I know you were not a coward. Thank you so much Mr. Rajput for inspiring me and many others. I wish we had one conversation. I would have loved knowing about space and so many other things from you.

I can write all day about how you inspired me but I will stop here.

Also I’m not a good writer like you and people who wrote for you. I’m just a fan who wrote her heart out.
