Stargazing SSR

Dear SSR,

As I fill up this space in your memory, its actually quite difficult to look for the correct words to define you, because I fear I’ll fall short of them. This website itself defines you as an actor, a philanthropist, but I’d quote you as ‘The man who actually lived his dreams, yet dreamt of becoming more.’

Its unfortunate for me, for the whole nation, to lose a gem like you and who knows better than you that how hypocritical people are :’) You must have laughed at the fake gestures, flawed gratitude, but it must have broken your heart as well to know that we regret what happened to you.

You aren’t my family member. You are not my friend. You are a star, or as I would like to define the common audiences feeling. You were the focus of everyone in and out of Bollywood. I’m sure there had been better places you’ve been to, we have witnessed you, but there’s a slight pang in our hearts as we still cannot imagine you won’t be in the big screen, or your head of concoctions won’t bring up your own inventions. In your words, you are light years away from us, now.

Whenever I personally think of you, especially that radiant smile of yours, it immediately lifts up my soul. Whenever I read a book, it takes me to your home, to your study. I picture you sitting there with a book, casually leaning back at the sofa and sipping a cup of coffee. In the midst of your astronomy and quantam physics books, I clearly see a smiling Sushant Singh Rajput.
Yet again, I know nothing about you. But there is something about you, why you would call yourself a ‘paradox’, why would you describe your grin as ‘Schrödinger’s smile’, and why would you gaze at the stars from early morning till night. Whatever you were, we clearly did not deserve a person like you. When you left, you surely took a part of us with you.

Here, at selfmusing, I keep my regards and respect with immense love and prayers for you. An eminent ‘star-gazer’, became a star in our eyes, both literally and metaphorically.

And lastly, remembering you in a song of my heart:
‘And anytime you feel the pain
Hey Jude, refrain
Don’t carry the world upon your shoulders
For well you know that it’s a fool
Who plays it cool
By making his world a little colder..’

Till forever and beyond. <3
