Series: IN THE LETTER BOX
Dated: August 12,2020
Dear Anni,
It has been almost over a month now, that you are nearer to the Saturn rings, the Jupiter moons and the Andromeda. Hope you have settled well on the Mare Moscoviense, enjoying your Maa’s affection after so many years, carrying on your own studies, researches and preparing another bucket list of dreams. In your words, this situation is actually “over the Moon, both literally and metaphorically”.
I am penning down my very first letter to you, because even if we don’t have a chance to connect over technologies, still my heart wants to speak out to you. I have watched ‘Dil Bechara’ where you have enthralled us with your magical presence, pronounced “Sotyi bolchi” to our utter surprise and relished the Bengali cuisine wholeheartedly. All these, have obviously made us feel both happy and sad at the same time. And, for now, I don’t want to recapitulate the touching moments once more. Since, you have left for us so many happy memories to cherish forever.
I would like to express my sincere apologies as I have already committed an absolute blunder on not exploring you earlier. But, ever since, I have started exploring you and preserving all those in my album entitled ‘Light-years away’, which is solely dedicated to you, I feel all the more fascinating each day. It gives me the pleasure of discovering a ‘real uncut diamond’, which you actually are.
Now, I want to tell you the second point, which to me is a reason of excitement. I have found out that ‘Angiras’ of ‘Saptarishi’ (in Hindu astronomy) possesses a beautiful western name ‘Alioth’ as in ‘Ursa Major’ constellation and how I wish that if you can have the chance to share some more fascinating stories regarding this and enrich my knowledge.
And, now coming to the third point, lovingly I wish to dedicate a nickname to my someone very special for the first time. Initially ‘Manny’ became my first choice but this name officially depicts the last character played onscreen and I don’t want to mark you with any finite ending. So, dismissing that I chose ‘Anni’ because primarily this is obviously one of the finest characters played by you ever.
But also, I felt to interpret the name differently. ‘Sushant’ being your name and obviously having a distinct meaning has ‘S’ as the initial letter, the middle part actually has your mother’s name ‘Usha’ and is closer to your heart as you once revealed to one of your fans. Somehow, according to me, the tail part seems to be the leftover and I decided to make something out of it. Thus to me, you have become ‘Anni’ from that ‘an’ in your name. Hope your inquisitive mind likes this explanation.
I have also found that ‘music and harmonics’ hold a special place in your heart, which actually forms a bridge between us. I have a playlist to which I keep adding the special songs almost regularly. And, I would like to dedicate the most recently added one, only to you. This is ‘All of the Stars’ by Ed Sheeran.
And, with this, I promise never to bid you a final adieu from the core of my heart. I wish that you keep smiling, ‘live’ happily ever after and be my ‘Guiding Star’ for now and forever. The only suggestion, I have for you is keep on practising the guitar more and more. This too, suits you perfectly and gifts a pleasant treat to my eyes.
Signing off,
With infinite love…💙🌼
Yours forever,
Angira

Angira, You have actually acknowleged us by the name of Sushant. He will surely bless you.
He is and will be with us, Forever. And, I believe, it is only Him, who has just driven me to pen down the words…✨💫💛
Wisely & Truely spoken. Love you Sushant.
