9 Aug 2020,
Dearest SSR,
I never knew five months from your birthday, I would be writing this.
How much fondly I used to address you this way and I still do! Honestly, I don’t say I have been your fan but I am sure that I have been your admirer since long. I, probably, never realized how much admirable you were and how much I really adored you! I cannot forget the days when I was studying and the memories of you in Kis Desh Me Hai Mera Dil and the iconic, Pavitra Rishta, have got etched in our hearts, for it was you. I still remember your amazing smile you always carried as a precious asset of yours that used to warm our hearts so much. Those days are truly incomplete without mentioning how much you had influenced our lives. Pavitra Rishta’s title track is still so much fresh, even after more than a decade. I never realized when time slipped by. The show had become a part and a parcel of our lives.
I went on to pursue my life ahead and didn’t pay much heed to you. But then, I was wonderfully awestruck to see you dancing in Jhalak and few other shows. Meanwhile, as days passed by, I stumbled upon one of the very interesting answers over Quora which was about you. And, I was flabbergasted. I never knew you were such an educated and talented fellow to crack so many tough engineering entrance examinations. From the one who performed poor in AIEEE, the world changed for me when I got to know yours. I could never believe. Finding an actor with your background is such a rarity. I would then keep hearing about your movies and even watched a few. You shined like a diamond as MSD. I was glued the entire time astonished at your spectacular imbibing MSD to the core. I then kept witnessing your pics with MSD and Ziva, which were so heart-warming.
A day came when I heard about your noble deeds. A silent hero you were, who was so generous to dare, go forward and help the masses. No publicity stunt, no strings attached.
Your face is so recognizable that I used to be reminded of you on few occasions. I saw you adeptly play Ping-Pong during the times of Chhichhore and how you enjoyed singing madly with one of your co-stars. Your performance and the message, undoubtedly, were so powerful and inspiring.
One fine day, I was left awestruck. Your list of dreams had become viral. What dreams they were! So succinct and on point. Each one of them was unique and had your special touch. They, probably, reflected your true soul. I never knew one could be so clear with what he/she wished to do in life. Even more interesting was, you chasing them, living and loving them every moment. Ah! What a rare sight to see, it was! Truly awe-inspiring, so much that I wanted to jot down mine.
Even though I don’t know you, every picture of you I saw had such positive vibes that is rare to see. I was surprised yet again to see how good you were with words. I now realize that each and everything you wrote, even the smileys, had a lot of thought process and brilliant clarity behind.
And, now I see your uncountable interesting shades, each of which was unique in itself. You always stood out of the masses. You were always spreading love, kindness, warmth and positivity.
I kept remembering you whenever it was 21 January. I would never know why. And, would now keep fondly remembering.
Your biggest asset was your golden heart, a true rare diamond in this adulterated world. You were so much ahead of your time and understood the minutest details of life in such a detailed way that I can’t help but be left spellbound. Your passion, dedication and hard work is one of a kind.
I was never asked who my idol is. I had an answer in my mind already but then I realized you were the true epitome of how one should lead life. How one can dream beyond the means, work hard and reach heights, which is unimaginable and achievable by only few stalwarts. So, now I have an answer.
I will remember you when I spot the brightest star out there.
You were, are and will live in our hearts forever.
Thank you for everything you did. You will be extremely missed for who you were, for eternity.
Your #selfmusings will always live with us and guide us to the light.
Massive Respect,
Yet Another Admirer.

Dear Sushant,
I had been following you since Pavitra Rishta. I remember your gleaming eyes in Jhalak while talking to Madhuri Dixit. You mentioned,” Myself and my sisters are huge fan of Madhuri Maam.” As I reminicense your fascinated expression….I think that must have been the moment when you decided to go into bollywood. You spoke about all the struggles you went through to reach where you were then. I was inspired by you then also. All your good karmas are returning in the form of your fans supporting you when your are not even around us and when we know that maybe you will never know how much you are loved, admired, missed. You have turned into a mentor for so many youth. India has lost a very exceptionally talented person. I have never being affected about any actor like this before.. But your simple habits like writing diary, making To Do list, merit holder, dancer, entreprenuer, and what not really inspired me to write this letter. Be happy wherever you are just the way you were….God give strength to your family.
Wonderful letter
Beautifully written ❤️
